Water color drawing and images have been a long time favorite among fine art professionals for many years. However, we can achieve similar if not exactly the same effect within Photoshop.
For this lesson, we are adopting a Photoshop action called Water Color action to achieve the desired result. The steps to install all Photoshop actions are the same; you just need to unzip, copy and paste OR load each required .ATN file into the Actions panel in Photoshop in order to play and execute the process. Also, if you are using the special brush that comes with the action, then you need to load that brush file .ABR into your Photoshop's brush palette in order to use it to brush that particular effect.
How does the Water Color Photoshop Action work? Simply brush over your photo where you want to apply the effect and play the Action! And bravo, you get the desired results within minutes!
Below is a detailed video tutorial that covers how to set up your Photoshop file as well as in-depth effect customization techniques.
Choose your own photo by getting a similar one shown in the example, and do a test run after or as you watch the demo video. Take note that it's more important for you to understand the concept and process. If you cannot succeed getting the results the 1st time, go through the video a number of times slowly to see what you have missed or done wrongly.
