How to Create Sketch Effects Using Photoshop Action

Making a sketch image in Photoshop using conventional methods can be long and tedious in getting results. But now, it is definitely more readily and faster to achieve using special techniques available right inside Photoshop and third-party plugins and resources.

In today's lesson, we are going to use yet another special Photoshop action called Sketch Photoshop action to achieve the desired result. The steps to install all Photoshop actions are the same; you just need to unzip, copy and paste OR load each required .ATN file into the Actions panel in Photoshop in order to play and execute the process.

How does the Sketch Photoshop Action work? Simply brush over your photo where you want to apply the effect and play the Action!

The video tutorial covers in detail how to set up your Photoshop file as well as in-depth effect customization techniques. Choose your own photo by getting a similar one shown in the example, and do a test run after or as you watch the demo video. Take note that it's more important for you to understand the concept and process. If you cannot succeed getting the results the 1st time, go through the video a number of times slowly to see what you have missed or done wrongly.
